How Do I Get Involved?

Point of Life Ministries is not only a place for spectators, it is a place for involved members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church family.

You may ask the question then, “What can I do for other people?  I have no talent or gift?”  God has given you not one, but several gifts.  The Bible tells us in Romans 12:6, “In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.”  All people’s gifts or abilities are not, nor can they be, the same.  It takes many talents, skills, and personalities to make the world go around.  So, don’t you think that God loves diversity and gives multiple talents and gifts to all individuals?

According to 1 Peter 4:10, “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts.  Use them well to serve one another.”  Anytime we use our abilities, skills, or give of our time in service to God, it all matters, there is no small service to God.  Small or hidden matters often make the biggest differences.

Therefore, when it comes to your service to God, seek Him.  After all, He is the architect who designed you.  How will yo be used?  What role or function does God have for you in this world or the Church?  According to Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Here, at Point of Life Ministries, you can join and immediately get involved.  There are people in this world that only you will be able to reach, because of where you live, who you are, and your unique personality.  If just one person makes it to Heaven because of you, wouldn’t that make a difference for eternity.  Wouldn’t that make it worthwhile to find out the Point of Life?

A poem written by Roy Lessin said, “Just think, you’re here not by chance, but by God’s choosing.  His hand formed you and made you the person that you are.  He compares you to no one else.  You are one of a kind.  You lack nothing that His grace can’t give you.  He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation.”

God could have created man into any form He so desired, but He chose to make us in His image.  God could have made us like robots, to do exactly as He commanded but God didn’t want that.  He wanted us to have free-will, the right to choose and make decisions of our own.  So we must come to the place in our lives that we see our need for God and choose everyday to surrender ourselves to Him.

We are a young and growing church and we would love to help you explore the gifts and talents God has given you for His glory.   We invite you to come and be a part of our spiritual family and grow with us as we learn to love God and love others.
